Saltzer and Melba Olde Tyme 4th of July Celebration

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

One of the things that makes me so pround working for Saltzer is their level of commitment to the communities it serves. Every month at our business development meetings we discuss lots of opportunities on how we can contribute and make a difference. In the past year we have done some great things. We worked with the Nampa Police Department to get a “Mobile McGruff” who will appeal to kids and help keep our kids on track. We also sponsored the Health Fest at the Idaho center. What a great event. We have also done dozens of sponsorships that include Relay for Life, Special Olympics, Drug Free Idaho, Boise Philharmonic, Nampa Swim Team, and many other worthy causes. One of our latest ventures is new to Saltzer. We are the parade sponsors for the Melba Olde Tyme 4th of July celebration. If you have never been to Melba on the fourth, you are missing out. It is lots of fun for everyone. There are kids games, a chicken round-up, horse shoe pitching, a classic car show, and of course the parade. The event is topped off with an AMAZING fireworks display. For more information go to www.melba4thofjuly.com. I am looking forward to seeing you there.

Why Saltzer Medical Group?

Monday, May 5th, 2008

As the director of satellite clinics for Saltzer Medical Group, I have the unique opportunity to interact with many of our physicians, nurses and CSRs as well as most of our support staff including IT and maintenance. I have an all-inclusive view of Saltzer and I must tell you, I love what I see.

We have an extremely professional staff who can treat the patient knowing that as part of a multi-specialty clinic, almost every diagnostic or treatment need a patient has is available at their finger tips. With our state of the art electronic medical record, continuity of care can be provided no matter at which location the patient’s appointment is scheduled. This means a patient can be seen at QuickCare in Nampa in the morning, and their primary care physician in Meridian need look no further than their computer where he or she will have immediate access to the patient’s morning visit notes at their finger tips. There is no clinic in the valley who can better provide this comprehensive care for their patient.

I have been blessed to be a part of this clinic for over 7 years now. I look forward to many many more years of service and am comforted knowing that my family will receive the best in care as well.
