Snake River Stampede and Saltzer
Wow! The Snake River Stampede is only a few weeks away. The rodeo is such an exciting time for Nampa and the surrounding area. Saltzer is always happy being a part of events in this community. Friday, July 11 is “Hot Chili Nights”. The local Lions club is holding the event in downtown Nampa. Saltzer is proud to be an award sponsor for the chili cookoff. That same night there is a Kidz Rodeo. There will be free ice cream, balloons, goody bags, and a carnival!
Saturday, July 12 is the big parade. All horses! Most parades I sit by the sidelines and tolerate all the rest and wait for the horses, but this one is a treat. No waiting for the horses. There will also be a pancake breakfast, farmers market, arts and crafts and more.
Saturday evening Saltzer Medical Group is proud to present the “Movie Under the Stars” If you’ve never been this is great fun! Bring your blankets and comfy clothes and curl up and watch Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory! There is going to be popcorn, and chocolate for all!
Monday and Tuesday you can have a buckaroo breakfast at the Idaho Center, and watch some of the best rodeo athletes in the world compete in the slack competition.
Finally, on Tuesday, July 15 it is time for the Wildest, Fastest show on earth, the Snake River Stampede. From Mutton Busting to Bull Riding you will be on the edge of your seat. Make sure you pay close attention to this year’s specialty act, the One Armed Bandit. Saltzer is proud to have the opportunity to bring you thus unique act. This horseman will intrigue and amaze you!
I hope you have the opportunity to come out and participate in some of the community events and attend the rodeo. I am hoping my daughter will have a slot in the Mutton Busting this year, so if you see a five year old girl in a pink shirt, with purple chinks that’s probably her, so cheer extra loud!
